The game seems to be a little more fluid, if at the end of the race and you get to watch the cars go past from a standing position, on the base ps4 their are ugly staggered trails eminating from the cars, on pro hardware this is gone. I weirdly can, and it is in the framerate department that the improvement can be seen.

The ps4 pro version is said to have updated the game, now even digital boundary cannot see any discernible difference between stock and pro hardware. The 3D aspect of the game really helps with judging corners, you'll find you can play this better than the original driveclub, absolutely incredible!!!! Then the race starts and you instinctively start using the mirrors as if your in a real car. You can look at the beautiful dash look behind you at the back seats and engine if rear mounted. Although this wasn't the first vr experience I had, the first time you get plonked into the cockpit of a pagani zonda is mind blowing. This is easily the best psvr game their is currently at launch. I am not talking about massive improvements, so don't expect it to be as sharp as normal PS4 graphics but it is a greater improvement than some technical 'experts' have credited it with. I feel that the game is even better on the Pro, the graphics are sharper and the whole thing seems smoother. I have finally got a PS4 Pro and broadband internet (hooray!) and have had the chance to play the enhanced version of Driveclub VR. If you do suffer this, change the VR settings, especially those for the VR visor relation to the camera and the eye-to-eye distance, and remember to gradually get yourself used to VR over time. As for motion sickness, I can only speak from personal experience and say that I haven't had a problem with this on Driveclub VR. The handling is spot on, opposition AI well balanced and there are enough fantastic cars, game modes and options to suit anyone. I've found it far easier to manage slides and spins with the better connection you get to the physics of the VR game. This is more than just cosmetic as VR lets you look through corners easily, usually next to impossible, and helps your steering no end. But the sense of immersion is terrific and it feels as if you are really in the car. Sure, the graphics aren't as good as a standard racer but that is the way it is with VR. The original game got a critical pasting (although with patching it became a far better game) and this VR version also got some online hate. I approached Driveclub VR with a little trepidation, I must admit. If you're willing to accept the below par graphics, this is still the one of the best car racing VR experiences to date on the PSVR. The online play & other related features are also due to cease in Spring 2020 in line with the regular version. I've only got a PS4, so things might look slightly better with a PS4 Pro. The tracks are also less detailed than in regular version. Easily the worst looking PSVR game I've played to date.

It all looks a bit blurry and kinda PS2 quality rather than current gen. The big downside is the image quality in the VR headset is really poor compared to the non VR game, the resolution looks to be quite low & there's a grainy effect.
#DRIVECLUB PC CODE PLUS#
On the plus side, the racing itself is very immersive in VR and I didn't experience any motion sickness on the tracks I tried. The career mode has a good selection of events which all include optional challenges to complete. The game is VR only and appears to have taken content from the regular Driveclub version. There aren't many driving games that support PSVR, GT Sport only has a limited range of tracks & events.ĭriveclub VR offers racing with 8 AI opponents, various different cars & a good selection of tracks.
